VA Prosthetic and Sensory Aids Service PSAS is the largest and most comprehensive provider of prosthetic devices and sensory aids worldwide. Services include artificial limbs orthotic devices wheelchairs hearing aids eyeglasses home medical equipment and assistive technology. Over 70 locations provide custom fabrication and fitting of state-of-the-art prosthetic devices. Programs include clothing allowance for veterans whose prosthetics damage clothing home improvements and structural alterations HISA grants automobile adaptive equipment and service dog veterinary benefits. Advanced technologies available including DEKA arm systems powered ankle-foot prostheses microprocessor knees and osseointegrated implants. Services provided regardless of service connection at no cost to eligible veterans. Annual provision of over 3 million prosthetic items to veterans nationwide.
